Health, safety, and environmental protection are core values within Northridge. As an organization, Northridge believes injuries, property damages, and environmental incidents are neither inevitable nor an expected consequence of doing business and we are committed to their elimination. This is Northridge’s vision and goal. This aggressive target will be accomplished with an organized approach to control all hazards and risks.

Health & Safety Goals

The philosophy of Northridge is that incidents and injuries can be prevented. An effective health and safety program will result in a safer and healthier work environment for all employees and a reduction in the loss and damage to property, facilities, equipment, and the environment.

Ensure that health, safety, and environmental hazards associated with Northridge’s operations are identified, assessed, and controlled.
Continue to improve health, safety, and environmental performance by measuring, assessing, and auditing components of the Safety Management System.
Ensure managers, supervisors, workers, and sub-contractors meet or exceed all Government legislation and regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Report all incidents and conduct investigations that result in the improvements needed to eliminate their reoccurrence.
Ensure that people are the highest priority on all worksites; production, schedule, and cost will never be placed before safety.
Develop and nurture a zero-incident philosophy as Northridge’s corporate safety vision and goal.
Eliminate all recordable injuries, preventable vehicular incidents, property damage incidents, and environmental incidents through proactive management of risk and at risk behavior.
Ensure that managers, supervisors, workers, and sub-contractors understand their health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.
Develop and maintain corporate health, safety, and environmental strategies to ensure the full and effective execution of the Safety Management System.
